Emergency Paediatric First Aid (6 Hour)

This one day course is suitable for Nannies, Schools, Babysitters and Family who look after the little ones. The covers everything you need to know to enable you to manage a first aid situation. the course follows the guidelines from the Early Years Foundation Scheme and is recognised by Ofsted. 

About this Course

Emergency Paediatric First Aid is taught over one classroom day (6 hours). During the day a Train Aid instructor will be on hand to teach you how to come to the assistance of a child / infant who has had an accident or sudden illness.

The training day focuses on a core set of lifesaving skills that can be applied in and out of the workplace. Learners are assessed through practical observation and multiple choice questions at the end of the day.

  • Responsibilities of the paediatric first aider

  • Unconscious casualty

  • Non-breathing child / infant (CPR)

  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

  • Choking

  • Major bleeding

  • Seizures

  • Minor injuries & burns

Paediatric First Aid
Blended 12 Hour

This blended course is suitable for Childminders, Nursery Schools, Afterschool clubs and Schools. This course is taught via blended learning and includes 6 hours E-Learning followed by 6 hours face to face learning.

 

The course follows the guidelines from the Early Years Foundation Scheme and is recognised by Ofsted.
